Stop spending endless dollars on the nail salon, miracle nail growth serums, and promising nail hardening polishes. It's okay to treat yourself to the salon. Just try to stay away from acrylics. Not only will they make your nails worse, but the upkeep is time consuming. You can also get fungi from salons. Why not choose something that is less time consuming and actually very healthy for you over all. Vitamin B complex is known to not only help grow hair and nails, but it helps stress and depression as well.
The vitamin B complex is essential for correct RNA and DNA synthesis and cell reproduction. As our Skin, Hair and Nails are constantly growing and renewing themselves we need the following B vitamins to ensure the good health of these structures - Vitamin B1-thiamine, Vitamin B2-riboflavin, Vitamin B3-niacin, Vitamin B5-pantothenic acid, Vitamin B9-folic acid, Vitamin B12-cobalamin, Biotin and Choline.
Although some of us don't like swallowing the big pills they can be very beneficial for our nails and hair. Vitamin B Complex comes in either a 50mg form or a 100mg form. The 50mg pills are smaller, but the 100mg pills you only have to take once a day. You want to make sure you eat with B complex or any vitamin.. If you don't eat they won't get digested into your system. If you don't like swallowing pills you can always go with a liquid vitamin that has a good amount of B vitamins. There are Vitamin B complex in liquid form which I recommend. Liquids digest into the system much faster than pill form.
Hair is one of the most complicated beauty issues. Mainly because we all have had horror stories with our luscious locks. Some of us are Rapunzel while others think they need weaves and extensions to get through their day. I am not against fake hair at all. I actually recommend it if it makes you feel more confident. Confidence is the key to looking good and feeling great.
Taking care of your nails can sometimes be somewhat tedious. Not all of us have the time nor the means to get our nails done. We also may not have the energy or the time to put into our nails. There are simple and easy ways to get strong healthy nails and without spending hours in a salon.
Hair Types:
We all have different hair types. From kinky curly to wavy to stick straight and everything in between. It's easy to get lost in the sea of products. Some say they are for curls and are meant to help straight or wavy hair be more curly. Some are strictly for moisturizing and others are hydrating. How do we know the difference.
Here are some tips on what to look for in the salon or at the market:
#1 For very coarse dry ethnic hair go for a deep conditioning treatment. Macademia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque is an intense conditioning mask to help repair damage and have lustrous shine. Also Biosilk gives a sheen look and feel without leaving hair too oily. Don't wash hair with harsh shampoos and only wash about once a week. You can always do a conditioning rinse.
#2 For very curly hair use a deep conditioning masque once a week. You can use the same masque as above. Always reapply conditioner after the shower. Leaving conditioner in curly hair gives it a hydrating glow with extra bounce. Curly hair tends to be more dry, so the more moisture it gets the better condition it will be in. Only wash once every 3-4 days. Use a sulfate free shampoo only on the roots.
#3 For wavy hair use texturizing creams as well as pomades. Start at the ends and work up to the roots. Use volumizing products as well as moisturizing. It's better to make sure your locks are moisturized than to skip on a hydrating product and end up with frizz or static. You can shampoo every few days or go with a dry shampoo everyday to every other day.
#4 Straight hair needs moisture as well, but be careful not to get to much oils. Shampoo regularly with a sulfate free cleansing shampoo. Just because straight hair tends have more oils doesn't mean it can't get frizzy. Use a hydrating conditioner with volumizer. You should shampoo the roots everyday to every other day. You can also use a dry shampoo on your roots to get rid of the oil.
While curly hair needs more oil and straight hair needs less it's still optimal to use hydrating and moisturizing conditioners in every hair type. When applying any kind of heat to hair use a product that contains a thermal protectant. When coloring hair make sure to use a hydrating masque after coloring. This will not only make your hair color last longer, but it will give your hair a shine that will illuminate.
